2008 BREEDING SEASON SUSPENDED

bar

As many of you know, my health has been an ongoing concern for the past couple of years in particular. I thought we were on track for breeding this year through accommodations I had made (modified pasture breeding, with active teasing and close supervision. Unfortunately, relief, if it comes, will not be in time for the 2008 season.

For those of you following the situation, I have been seeing doctors for my various ills, particularly my extreme back pain, which has became impossible to "Cowgirl Up" to anymore. Nerve blocking tests for my back are scheduled, but now another injury (tore something in my chest when haltering a filly in April - gee whiz, huh?!) and prolonged fevers looks like that schedule will be set back far enough that the final treatment (destruction of identified nerve endings) will not be done soon enough to allow me, in good conscience, to book any outside mares.

We will be offering a few select youngsters for sale, as soon as I am sufficiently recovered or can find someone to partner in the effort to get the horses in reasonable sale shape. (Meaning not furry and muddy!) On the probable list are Ima Kay Cee Belle's 2007 chocolate colored grullo with cream gene filly, Avalon's 2008 SOLID grullo filly, Aloha's upcoming foal, and the three year old buckskin + dun Dundee son, Everafter Doubletake.

Everafter Ranch, established in California in 2000, is now a small breeding operation in beautiful Western Pennsylvania's Laurel Highlands area. Our Quarter Horse breeding program is based around the rare and eye-catching grullo color, a dilution of black that results in a unique silver to mouse-colored coat. Grullo is the rarest of recognized AQHA colors are is a guaranteeed way to get instant attention in the show ring! We also produce some buckskins, another color sure to get the judge's attention. Our AQHA mares and stallions offer both Foundation bloodlines and world class show horse bloodlines, offering horse lovers their pick of types. Yes, we are color breeders, but we never sacrifice the critical combination of correct, functional conformation and willing, loving disposition for the sake of color. We cater to breeders and show persons seeking affordable, high quality stock. Everafter Ranch previosly maintained a small herd of top show quality Classic Shetland Ponies, with Foundation Certified bloodlines. We still own and stand Sundance LB Hot Rod, ASPC Halter and Driving Champion. Welcome!

From our guest book: (!)

"I have to say that I am impressed by your philosophy. Your horses are truly blessed. I wish more AQHA members or horse breeders in general had your spirit.
THANK YOU!"
