John Gunsallus on Tigger

John Gunsallus
Trainer

John is a judge and trains professionally from his business, Jo-Lin Quarter Horses in Central City PA. For training, contact John at (814) 754-8142. John's wife, Linda, is an incredible asset to our program, providing a wealth of information on the market and show circuits.

Sundance LB Hot Rod

"Hootie"
Mare Ovulation Prediction Technician
(Teaser Stallion!)

Hootie earns his oats by teasing mares. (Teasing is the process of bringing mare and stallion together to determine, by the mare's reactions, if she is in the receptive and fertile portion of her reproductive cycle.) Hootie LOVES big mares, so he enjoys his job.

Palau & Chaos

Palau & Chaos
Rodent Control

We almost never see a mouse in our feed rooms, thanks to our fine security staff, including Chaos, and the three-legged Palau. Dead furry gifts are a common ornament on our porch, though!

Andrew Salwin Tepperman

Andrew Salwin Tepperman
Photography Assistant, former Youth Exhibitor

Andrew is the unseen but vital person in many of our older photographs. An accomplished showman, Andrew knows how to stand a horse and get good expression. Now grown up and living in California, his absence is felt. It is also seen in the much less attractive photographs of our younger and newer stock. A savvy handler is key to good photographs.

Sarah Grace Honsinger Tepperman

Sarah Grace Honsinger Tepperman
Youth Exhibitor, Photography Assistant-In-Training

Sarah competed successfully in Lead Line at age 6, showing aptitude in Trail class in particular. Her riding lessons begin this spring and she plans to compete in Walk-Trot, Halter, and Showmanship classes this year, on her mare, Ima Kay Cee Belle. Sarah is also learning to stand horses for the all important photography sessions used to produce the photographs on these pages. As she learns how to show in Halter and Showmanship, our photos will certainly show improvement as well.

Isaac Gabriel Tepperman

Isaac Gabriel Tepperman
Youth Exhibitor in training

Isaac has been showing a consistent interest in the horses. He will begin riding lessons on our Shetland mare, Ginger Snap, in the summer. If he is interested, he may show in Lead Line classes in local shows this year.
